Chris Newman


A widely-respected communicator, Chris has nearly 20 years’ experience developing and implementing integrated communications strategies for leading brands and organisations around the world.

He is a corporate communications and issues management specialist with experience across a broad range of industry sectors.

Chris founded Civic Reputation in 2015, favouring an agency model that combines the client service ethic of a boutique shop with best practice capabilities of a global network. 

Since then, Civic Reputation has grown rapidly, providing a full-service suite of communications advisory services to clients of all shapes and sizes; from savvy start-ups to ASX200 and even Fortune 100 companies.

Between 2007 and 2015 Chris held several leadership roles in markets spanning Europe, the Middle East and Australasia with one of the world’s leading communications agency networks.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science and public policy from Victoria University, Wellington.
